I am starting a new blog with ideas for solo Christmas celebrations. From where to go to where and what to eat. Ideas and input anyone?

There are places that are open on Christmas... Maybe possible to volunteer and help celebrate?
Maybe help someone in need? Adopt a family?
    Union Gospel Mission? Salvation Army?
    Local churches? Hospitals?
    Travel someplace warm?
