I was able to swing this as well. I was on a 3 year internet commitment with telus for the internet. My contract hadn't run out yet, however, after speaking to a couple of different reps, they were able to give me the promo even though I had one service (internet with Telus already). Best part is that my old Internet rate was 49.95 a month (got sucker-ed into the free computer promo). Hope this helps!

 

Did you have to go through retentions (customer loyalty)? Haven't heard existing customers having much luck at all with this plan .

Telus Optik has *REALLY* impressed me. The guide interface is so much better than what Shaw offers. And so much quicker when switching through the channels. Another big benefit of their interface is that you can view only the channels you subscribe to. No need to scroll through all the channels Shaw wants you to buy in order to get to your stations. This deal is making me think about switching alot more...

 

I had similar deal with Shaw last year but expired now.

I am really considering Telus offer however anyone figured out how much it is going to cost after the promotion over?
Is it worth even when you have to go on contract for three years?

 

The promo is over, but FYI you only had to go on contract for 3 years if you wanted the PVR for free.

 

TELUS now has a promotion that on TELUS Optik TV that will give you an XBox 360 that can act as a TV top box.
