I was wondering if anyone knew where to find tempeh in Vancouver. It's a product made from whole soybeans and can be used as a meat alternative.

Tried only chinese tofu... haven't tried this tempeh.

Ps. Don't know where to find it but maybe the Indonesian restaurants have it. There is a 'Pondok' Indonesian restaurant at Broadway...

If you go to Whole Foods, you should be able to find it there. The Naam uses tempeh for some of their dishes too, nom.

I guess those pics that I sent to you don't convinced you :) I cant wrap the tempeh with banana leaf because it will cost too much. As long as you really want it i am willing to give you free sample :)

Oh no, it's not that. Wasn't on to see your pictures. I'll reply to your other thread.

Context: Meilita is selling home made tempeh, see this thread for info: http://www.forumvancouver.com/threads/home-made-hand-made-indonesian-tempeh.3549/

Sunrise Market, Donald's Market, Famous Foods and Drive Organics all have it. Check the freezer sections.
