    Hey everyone,

we are a group of 4 Czechs (central Europe) that are planning to move to Canada at the beginning of 2015 (if possible). We will need a help from someone that lives in Vancouver for some guidance in setting things up. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Cheers Mark

I moved here in July '13 from Europe. My advice is to get temporary accommodation for 2 weeks. Try and arrive here in the middle of the month, this will give you enough time to find permanent accommodation before the 1st of the month(when most renting begins). Within the first few days you need to go to Service Canada for your SIN(you cannot work without this), bank account and cell phone.

Then get to a WiFi spot, get on Craigslist and start applying for jobs.

Everything else will fall into place after that
