Emergency Earthquake Kit

    ... what does your gut tell you, milquetoast? do you think the big one'll actually ever happen?

    Could be tomorrow, could be a few hundred years from now. Humanity does not have the ability to predict mother nature with precision yet. BC's last big earthquake was in 1700. A large earthquake occurs in BC every 200 to 850 years so we're within that window. Doesn't hurt to be prepared is my gut feeling.

    So important to have enough water stored up somewhere. And candles and a battery operated radio. Last night's 'minor' quake was shocking. My bed felt like it was slammed by a truck. Not the rocking I had felt before here....very weird.

    I didn't realise it was an earthquake until the next day. I thought a tree fell on the house or a car ran into it. It was over so quick that I didn't think it was an earthquake. The last one I felt lasted for several seconds. That was like 15 years ago.
