Try again! Try for something else to get your foot in the door! Check out www.civicinfo.bc.ca/careers/ for alternatives.

It was just a regular mini van?? I hope I get that too. How long were you on the road for? Did they take you through downtown?

There were two...a mini van and a full size van....I got the small one. A bit less than 90 min and drove on Arbutus, Granville, Nelson, Cambie, Broadway and back to Granville. The instructor has a list of penalties and he marks how many you have. I got zero. He told me I was going to be contacted after two business days and it actually took 1 hour after the test to hear back from them.

Just got my Class 2 BC Commercial Learner's Permit....and sent it to Translink. The HR girl is off and coming back on Thursday. Oh well...I'll wait for next steps: I guess is Medical, Criminal Report and Reference check...and that's all!:D

Best of luck! Hopefully you are keeping busy in the mean time. If you have any free time, I'd suggest studying/brushing up on the air brake system and the pre trip inspection. Also: Go on out and RIDE any city trolley route. They used to recommend riding a Friday/Saturday night: 3 MAIN; 8 FRASER and or 20 VICTORIA.

Posting appears to have ended as of Feb 10. Other active job postings come and go all the time.

    www.civicinfo.bc.ca/careers is another GREAT website.

BC Ferries should be needing Spring and Summer staff soon as well!

Well I had my road test today. I drove the 15 passenger van. I think I did ok. We made it back in one piece, lol. Anyways, hopefully hear something tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Just make sure you check your email in the junk email box...might be sitting in there.

    Good luck!

The trainability test is very basic. If you follow the rules of the road and can do a proper Hill Park, you are good...no speeding and full stop before the line at stop signs...plus 30km in school zones/parks. Pass rate is very high, like 95-98%!!

Saw a Richmond arctic, R12019 parked on Kerr Street at 49th Ave, far side.

I'm starting to see these Hybrid srctics brake down more often than the regular Richmond arctics

Hey guys first time writing on the forum.
I got my video test and English comp test tomorrow for the conventional bus driver position, I feel like I may be over thinking how it but should I dress casual or should I dress as if it were an interview???
    Super nervous as well!!

    Just dress casual.

First time I did it I dressed up and failed.

Second time I did it, I came in work clothes from a different employer lol.

Those newer artics broke down daily when we first got them! Too much computer safeguards/programming!

I drive one every Mon-Tues; and haven't broke down in months.
Had a Hydraulic Cooling Fan fail last week on a 7300.
Been going out Sunday mornings to the Highway Orions and have had countless No starts!
Had an engine shut down back on Remembrance day, NB at the tunnel.
