I would guess they take you out in a full sized van and see how you do with turns and such.

Broke down today, some Hydraulic Cooling Fan failed. Was able to switch off with a garage bound bus, no time lost.

Better than back on Remembrance day when the engine shut down and I missed about 2 hours waiting for attention.

15 passenger van....man the handling on that thing is terrible. Even the trolleys have a more solid steering feel than that van haha

The road test is similar to the ICBC's Class 5 road test. Just drive defensively, follow the rules of the road and you'll do fine. Also, it may be helpful to review the "Smith System" - 5 keys of defensive driving.

Good luck on your road tests @Kr6505 and @GuyinNorthVan!

Wow... I hope you'll get it. I do not know how they decide but in my case I have very limited custom service experience.

I just got an email requesting the Class 2 BC Commercial Learner's Permit with air break endorsement.... Has anyone had experience getting it??

Back in the early 90's I think I just read the Commercial vehicles handbook; went down to Motor Vehicles and did like a 20 question test.

It is a requirement BEFORE shwing up for Training! No Learners- No Training!

Just go into ICBC licnesing center, ask to do a learners test for the class 2.

Make sure once you passed it, have them put on a courtesy air brakes endorsement. Otherwise you have to run back and get them to add it back on.

You'll need 80% to pass. Forgot how many questions there are...

Thanks! I think it is less complicated than I thought.
