And west Vancouver requires that you must have the appropriate license prior to application. They do not train you to be fully licensed.

Coast Mountain Bus Company is in need or MORE CASUAL DEPOT COORDINATORS! $28.84hr PLUS "Temps" earn 21% MORE in lieu of benefits!

Vancouver depot staffed 24/7; whereas the suburban depots are generally staffed from early mornings thru mid afternoons. Later during the 4-5 Sign Ups each year.

www.translink.ca/careers/ and THEN "Coast Mountain Bus Company" if interested! Great way to get into the office workers union!

On a side note: BC Ferries is looking for Class #1 drivers out of Tsawwassen: $25 an hr to start.

AND City of Burnaby has a number of active job postings up now, including for a Recycling Truck Driver at over $28 an hour. Google city of Burnaby OR www.civicinfo.bc.ca/careers/

    Hi!

My panel interview for Conventional Driver is on Monday morning. I am a bit nervous...what experiences do you have with it? is it that hard?
Kr6505...how was yours today? Did you pass?

I was so nervous. I hope I answered the questions ok. It only took half an hour. I will know something within a week.
    Good luck to you!

    Th
this is so weird. I just checked my email and I have been shortlisted for the conventional transit operator position and asking me to schedule a video test. I already done that Dec 4 and passed. I also had my panel interview today too. Does this mean I have to go through it all again?
    Confused..

The quickest that they got back to be was 45 minutes and that was by email.

So keep an eye out for that!

Doesn't have to be a picture perfect interview just like how @ConventionalMan said it.

Just as long as you answered everything in minimal nerves, should be good to go.

Seems like they're hiring lots of people! But they're slowing down the pace for the recruiting steps.

A person I know just recently passed their video test but interview is set for February 15th.

Talked to one of the operators who is an acting instructor and told me he's booked for a solid month for training new operators.

Not sure how many classes there are in total. I'm aware of 3 that's in session right now.

Had at least one Op retire yesterday out of Richmond. Rumours (always rumours) of "a few" going in May as well.

I had my interview today. I think I did well...I hope they will call me.
They told me that the process could take one more month and another month to be scheduled for training. It seems that things are going faster and hiring many.
